ALWAYS TRIUMPHANT

Always Triumphant

Colossians 2:14–15 (KJV)

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)

14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

I like that phrase in 2 Corinthians. “…Always causes us to triumph…” What a promise! We have the assurance of victory in every situation through Jesus Christ! Let me share with you a few things Jesus has accomplished for us.

1. TOUCHED CONCERNING OUR INFIRMITIES

Hebrews 4:15 (KJV 1900)

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

2. TASTED DEATH FOR EVERY ONE OF US

Hebrews 2:9–10 (KJV 1900)

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

3. TOOK KEYS OF DEATH & HELL

Revelation 1:18 (KJV 1900)

18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

4. TRIUMPHED OVER EVERY ENEMY

Colossians 2:14–15 (KJV 1900)

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

What do we have to fear? Jesus Christ has gone the distance and paid the price for each & every one of us! What do you need victory over today? You have a promise straight from the Word of God that you can be “always triumphant”!

  • You are so, so right to emphasize our victory through and with Jesus. Though none of ths victory can be tecnically ours, he treats us just as if we are a part of it. Jesus gives us the feeling of victory (team) just as David’s triumph over Goliath was enjoyed by all of Isreal. So keep reminding those whom you meet… we WIN!
